Lucy & Linus Feel The Love

Training Program:  Pack Cohesion Therapy Program (PCT)
Hometown: Staten Island, NY

Hi Brian!
We hope all is well with you. First of all, I wanted to thank you and your team for taking such great care of Lucy and Linus this summer and teaching them so much!

They’ve been home for almost 2 weeks now and we are working every day to continue to improve upon everything they learned with you. I am their Packleader now and I truly feel that they’ve begun to look at me as such.

When we sent them to you, I was so worried that they would lose the individual personalities that we love so much.

Well, Lucy is still Lucy-cooky, nutty, silly, loving, and happy, but more confident, obedient, and eager to please.

Linus is still Linus-goofy, playful, and adventurous, but less pushy and demanding, more patient and obedient which makes him a lot more fun!

We’ve been working with them individually a lot more than ever and the individual attention has made them better dogs together. Their relationship has seemed to improve where they look to me, instead of each other, for leadership.

We no longer have “couch wars,” as they are no longer allowed on the couch!

I know we still have lots of work to do, but I believe with continued commitment, we will be able to all live together peacefully with the humans in charge.

I’ve been doing the Impulse Control Exercises daily and they’re doing awesome with this. We do the Door Exercises and they both have become quite good at waiting patiently for the “ok.”

Lucy is pretty good with her recall, but Linus still needs considerable work, especially when distracted.

Linus has been great with his Loose-Leash Walking, whereas I’m still having a hard time with Lucy pulling a lot. I know, “slow and steady!”

They settle in their crates quite easily and are content there when we can’t provide constant supervision. I’m hoping with continued work, they continue to improve their behavior, especially with visitors and in times of excitement in the house.

Well, I just wanted to say thank you again and we look forward to continuing to work together.

I believe we have a scheduled Sleepover in a few weeks and I will have to look to see if these dates still work for us.  We also have a trip planned in November for two weeks and since Lucy and Linus are already comfortable in your care, I’d like to consider this as an option while we are away.

Thank you for any information you can provide about these services and hope to hear from you soon.

Best,

Liz and Jay Saporito
