In July 2017 we were contacted by a nice young couple in Portsmouth, RI for help with their unruly Great Dane, named Pebbles.  Pebbles enrolled in our 3-week Canine Manners Camp and really did great in her training.  About 2 weeks after training had completed, I returned to the clients home for a Follow-Up Session.  One thing for sure was that Pebbles was very happy to see me.  I think that was the “clincher” for these owners.  Turns out, they had been wrestling with a lot of guilt about not having the time or resources to provide Pebbles the amount of training and care she would need going forward.

Pebbles is actually a “gift” given to the couple and while they very much loved her – they knew they had to make a very hard, unselfish decision to find Pebbles a home. The first person they asked was me…and I said “Yes”.  How could I say no?!  I left with her that day and we haven’t looked back since!

Pebbles is an incredibly wonderful, gregarious, confident yet sensitive – female Great Dane.  Since she’s come here, we’ve had her spayed, had  Gastropexy surgery (pinning her stomach to reduce the chances of bloat) as well as Entropion Surgery (her eyelids where turned in causing her eyes to constantly tear) all at the same time (paid for by the previous owner, btw!).

We couldn’t be luckier that we are to have been given such a wonderful asset to our collective!
