Alice is an absolutely integral part of our Pack and the processes here at CBS. She’s acts as our “barometer” that tells us how serious any dogs problems actually are. If Alice thinks a dog is “okay” then that dog is likely to do fine.  If Alice is wary or hesitant of any given dog – then we know we’ve got our work cut out for us. She’s like a “tell-tale” that gives us a canine insight into a dogs emotional state, or “bearing”, at that time.

Alice was a rescue dog that we came to meet in January of 2012 when her owners, who had recently moved to RI, contacted us.  Almost immediately after moving to Rhode Island, Alice began her downward spiral of abhorrent canine behavior. She began exhibiting some very serious Separation Anxiety, increasing Dog Aggression, a complete lack of confidence and varying degrees of destructive behavior.  After about 6 weeks of intensive rehab with the Pack it was clear that Alice had more going on than a few undesirable behaviors. After consulting with our local Veterinarian, we decided to start Alice on a trial of fluoxetine (Prozac). The positive changes began within a few weeks as she transformed into much more positive and productive member of our collective.  After a heart-felt emotional plea from the owners, we all decided that what as in the best interest of Alice was to have her remain here with the Pack – where she has truly thrived.

She’s now giving back to other dogs in need.  Oh….Alice sweet Alice! She’s got such a spot in my heart!!
