Bandit Beats the Odds!

Greetings Brian,
I just wanted to give you an update on Bandit. I don’t where to begin but he is growing into a wonderful dog.  We walk on a daily basis for at least 10 blocks.

He looks forward to the walk and is at the back door by afternoon if we haven’t gone in the morning. We walk in rain, snow, sleet and freezing cold.

He is getting better when things that frighten him appear i.e. cars, trucks, people and other dogs. We stop and wait for the cars and people to go by.

I give him a lot of positive reinforcement, constantly telling him he is such a good boy. His recall is outstanding and he is a very obedient dog.

He has also bonded well with Ron, they have a ritual every morning when he gets up the first place he goes is to see Ron. He can now see Ron all dressed up for work in his black top coat without getting frightened. He has been coming in the front door at night and goes upstairs to change before he greets Bandit but he started to take his coat off and he has become accustomed to the black clothing and now when Ron leaves for work all dressed he runs to him without incident.

My husband and I have been going out during the day at least once a week to ensure that Bandit understands when we are not home he must remain in the crate. When I tell him he has to go to bed he gets in the crate without incident. As I stated previously, Bandit continues to make progress on a daily basis.

We are all so pleased with the results your training provided for Bandit, I can’t thank you enough for this amazing dog.

Give my best to Laura.

Kathleen
