Coco Finds Peace

Training Program: Private Session
Hometown:  Milford, CT

In our home we have 2 dogs.  A 2 year old Shih-Tzu / Poodle mix and a 1 year Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever/Poodle).

We reached out to Brian this past summer because it became apparent that there were behavioral issues that we could no longer manage.

Our little Shi-Poo, Coco, was busting thru an electric fence to attack dogs that were being walked down our street to the beach!

Once Coco went thru the fence, all hell would break loose. Our Goldendoodle would then follow out into the street and it was a circus act to get things back under control.

We are a dog loving family and have had dogs all of our lives but we did not know how to change this behavior.

Enter Brian……

By the way, we had also watched the Dog Whisperer show on the National Geographic channel but never really thought that the accomplishments shown on TV were in real-time and most likely had occurred over a long period of training, etc.

When Brian came to the house he spent over an hour with us as a family, interviewing and asking questions about how we deal/interact with our dogs. He discussed his concepts of being a pack leader and the need for our family to take a greater role in being our pet’s pack leader.

Then he demonstrated his “techniques” on our dogs. The results were nothing short of amazing!  Brian then spent an hour going over what we need to do in order to gain control of our pet’s behavior and regain balance in our household.

The beauty of what Brian did for us what that there was no yelling at the dogs or aggressive punishing techniques, it was a matter of understanding the cause and effect of their behavior as well as our own.

As a family, we now understand what was causing the aggressive behavior of our Shi-Poo and more importantly, we know what to do to prevent it as well as other behavioral issues.

By the end of our first session with Brian, our “attack” Shih-Poo was playing in the yard with Brian’s 100 lb. Rottweiler.  It was truly a sight to behold!

For people who love dogs but are frustrated with behavioral issues that they cannot seem to get under control, Brian Manning is a remarkable resource.

If more people in RI knew about his services there would be a lot more happy pet owners.  Brian is a gifted man providing valuable service to countless dog owners. He has a unique gift to communicate his knowledge to clients in a way that empowers them to take control of their pets.

It is my opinion that you would be doing the citizens of RI a real favor if you were to provide them with exposure to Brian Manning and his business Canine Behavioral Services.
