Position: Assistant Trainer
Current Home: Warwick, RI
Hire Date: October 5, 2020
In 2015 Steve graduated with an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from CCRI. Not too long after obtaining his degree, he decided to follow a path working with animals instead of following his previous career choice in Law Enforcement.
Steve has always had an inherent passion for all animals and can remember always being around dogs, from childhood on, and in 2012 he adopted a Coonhound named Earle, from down in Louisiana.
In 2018, Steve was presented with an incredible opportunity and volunteered his time working with endangered animals in South Africa where he received a certificate for his work and immeasurable life experiences during his stay. He had a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be around lions, cheetahs and many other big cats as well as animals like elephants, hippos and crocodiles, during his volunteer work.
At the end of that banner year, Steve took a job as a dog handler working at a boarding and daycare facility in Rhode Island. There he worked with, and observed, all types of dogs and dog behavior. It was at that job that Steve realized that wanted to pursue a greater path in the dog world.
Steve has spent that last couple of years searching for the right opportunity to learn more about dog behavior as well as how to help train them. This search came to an end recently when he joined the team here at Canine Behavioral Services Inc.
Steve is eager to expand his skills and learn more about dog behavior and the all natural methods used at Canine Behavioral Services Inc. We are very fortunate to have a person like Steve join our team!
Steve currently lives in Warwick RI and spends his free time with his family and friends. Fall is his favorite time of the year when there is football on every Sunday!
