Claire Boettcher

Position: Kennel Supervisor
Current Home: Coventry, RI
Date of Hire: November 19, 2019

Claire was raised in Western Connecticut and could often be found outside exploring with her childhood “best friend”…her chocolate lab. She was always very interested in animals and had every kind of pet growing up, including chickens and sugar gliders.  As a young girl, another one of her favorite pastimes was community service work through Girl Scouts.

After a stellar High School experience, Claire graduated in 2016 from Western Connecticut State University’s Honors Program with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Biology. During college, she worked many different jobs that all involved animals in some way; vet tech, doggy daycare attendant and pet sitter. She got her first personal dog Kylo, a working line black German Shepherd, after graduation from college.

One year later, she earned a certificate in Professional Dog Training from CT K9 in Newington, CT. Shortly after finishing that program, she became a Canine Scent Detection handler and trainer for beagles specifically to locate bed bugs. This opportunity allowed her to experience the incredible feeling of being able to communicate very clearly with our canine companions.

Teaching and helping people has always been her passion, and now she loves being able to help build strong relationships between dogs and their owners. Pack training is something new for her and she views every day as an opportunity to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.

We are very fortunate to have Claire as part of our incredible team here at CBS Inc.
